I believe the issue is that he believes he has every right. There have been those who have tried, but it is quite impossible to speak with him about certain things.

The best I could do was ignore it and assure the truth rather than his imagination.

Ya! I just feel like we fit together really well and he accepts me for what I am and everything. It gives me even more reason to get him something really nice for valentines day. I know he doesn't celebrate it the same as I do, so I have to be prepared!
